(You Only Love Your) Collider — Les Horribles Cernettes
I include this because it's so much fun and is done in 1950s doo wop style. Les Horribles Cernettes (The Horrible CERN Girls) was founded by Michele de Gennaro, a graphic designer at CERN (European Council for Nuclear Research), whose romantic relationship with a physicist was made difficult by his numerous shifts. The group’s initials, LHC, are the same as those of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN.
In 1992, Tim-Berners Lee at the Computer Science department at CERN invented the World Wide Web. He loaded a scanned photo to test it out and Les Horribles Cernettes made history as the first photo on the Web.

Haeundae Beach on the Sea of Japan is South Korea’s favorite seaside playground. Smile Again’s summer love vibe reminiscent of the ’60s puts an upbeat forward-looking end to this play list. One of the most feel-good songs I've ever heard.
The video accompanying the song are clips from episode 1 setting up the plot. To get her bratty kid sister out of a debt to a nightclub, Sora, the daughter of the head of the White Sands Gang, agrees to step in as a replacement for a kisaeng (female entertainer in historical dress) that failed to show up for the evening’s performance.
Having gotten a tip that the nightclub kisaeng is a go-between for a major drug dealer, prosecutor Taesung has abandoned his new bride on their wedding night to go undercover at the nightclub. The pass phrase to purchase drugs is, “I’ve never felt this way before.”
To Sora, the pass phrase sounds like a proposition and she flips every guy she hears it from including the undercover Taesung. As she dances on stage, Taesung is bewitched by her beauty experiencing the first genuine emotion he has ever had in his life. Hearing calls from the audience to “take it off,” Sora suddenly realizes this is a strip club and dashes from the stage.
Taesung befriends Sora as the nightclub management chases after her. At the first opportunity, she heads out of the club with Taesung running after her repeating, "I’ve never felt this way before. I’ve felt this way before.” (Which is ironically true.) Our delightful story is off and running.
Not only does Taesung not love the girl he married earlier in the day, he doesn’t even know what love is! He married her because she is the right girl for his career path, the daughter of the Ministry of Justice. As you saw in the clip, he is not smiling at his wedding; he feels nothing. To him it is a duty to perform for his career. Taesung learns love the hard way over the course of the comedy.
Haeundae Lovers is available on Hulu.
